About Attorney Fees
My goal is to effectively and efficiently resolve your legal matter (not prolong and delay it). As a solo practitioner, I appreciate the fact that your time is precious. By working together, we can make the best use of my time, and yours, in an effort to bring your matter to a timely and successful conclusion. Attorney fees are discussed during our initial meeting. It is my hope that by financial planning, and setting achievement goals, we can agree on a reasonable attorney fee. At other law firms you may end up paying large attorney fees for their expensive office space, secretaries, paralegals, leased cars and fancy websites. At this law office you are hiring me (and only me) to focus on, and serve, your legal needs. Here, there's none of those unnecessary frills. I built my own website. I live here in Salem. Hey, I even walk to work...
There is no charge for your initial office consultation.
POSSIBLE ATTORNEY FEE ARRANGEMENTS:
Fixed Rate/Flat Fee: A set price for a particular legal service.
Examples: Drafting a Will, Health Care Proxy or Power of Attorney;
Hearing for unemployment benefits, Criminal defense.
Contingent Fee: Personal injury cases (car accidents, 'slip & fall' cases).
No attorney fee unless successful.
Hourly Fee: More complex and/or time consuming legal matters.
Examples: Civil law suits, contested Divorces.
We will discuss and determine Attorney Fees before legal representation begins.
For your convenience, I accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover.
